Caliper Lake Ontario

Caliper Lake is situated in Northwestern Ontario, south of Kenora, near the Nestor Falls community on Highway 71.  Surrounded by an atmosphere of natural beauty of pristine Canadian wilderness. It’s many hectares are described as the abundant woodlands entrenched in the wealthy soil left behind by glacial deposits.

Walleye Fishing Fun!

Walleye can be found in a wide range of areas in the Park and many campers enjoy some time on the lake and take in the great walleye fishing fun. Many local Fishing Lodges, Resorts and Camps rent some useful things like Kayaks, Picnic Shelters, Canoes, Paddle-boats, bicycles as well as others.

The various natural habitats cover many animals and plants. Rabbits, groundhogs and squirrels dwell in the fields and forests of this Ontario Provincial Park. One can also discover white tailed deer in the forests of the park. The park has also a wide range of birds. Osprey and Eagles fly overhead and grouse run across the woods ground – its hushed colors are hidden away by the flora. The great numbers of white pelicans are certain to be a best part of your visit.

Caliper Lake Campground

You can camp out your trailer or pitch your tent at the Caliper Lake campground. For one’s comfort, there are toilets, modern comfort station and showers close by.   There are also many recreational opportunities in this park which include canoeing, hiking, swimming and boating. One can also enjoy a wild picnic with friends or family.
