his pike vid is very helpful to anyone, considering most ppl think cleaning a pike is the worst thing on earth.
and about the walleye (i dont keep pike because, well… they’re slimey and smell, only ice fished pike do i keep)
anyway, it’s easier to take walleye ribs off while the skin is on, same with perch. (seeing as they’re same family of fish)

There’s a good reason for keeping only the filets, especially in PA. The small section of meat near the Dorsel and closer to the belly of the Walleye, Saugeye, and Sauger are known to collect deposits of Mercury and PCBs, which is why it is reccomended to not eat those pieces of the fish. Though it may not have any immediate effects, prolonged exposure to mecury and PCB deposits in fish especially those who have a high fish diet, can cause severe health issues and birth defects.
